Description
With Netherton Foundry\’s spun iron tortilla press, you can enjoy authentic Mexican tortillas at home. Use masa harina to make a simple dough and use your finished tortillas to make tacos, fajitas, enchiladas and quesadillas.
This traditional tortilla press was designed in collaboration with Santiago Lastra, chef patron of modern Mexican restaurant KOL in London. The press features two black iron plates, black iron handles and handmade British oak handles. The heavy duty lever handle lets you apply the required pressure to create thin corn tortillas.
The press is pre-seasoned with flax oil so you can start cooking right away!
How to use the tortilla press:
Put a piece of parchment paper on the bottom plate of the open press and sit your ball of tortilla dough in the centre. Cover with another piece of parchment paper and bring down the top plate using the handle. Press down firmly to make a thin, round tortilla.
